Ariella or Ara is a graduate of BS Chemistry from UP-Los Banos. She competed with 49 girls to bag the most coveted title of Miss Universe Philippines last night in the Golden Anniversary edition of Binibining Pilipinas at the Araneta Coliseum.
When asked by Philippine National Police Chief Allan Purisima what lesson in life can women teach men, she answered, "One lesson in life that women can teach men is being sensitive. We all know that men are more logical when it comes to decisions. They are usually more rational and straightforward. Unlike women, we use our hearts and we tend to get emotional in some of our decisions. Sensitivity is something that we women can teach to men."
Ara describes herself as an average person. She considers her unexpected win as a fruit of her hard work. She said that she's never been this hardworking in her entire life. Come Miss Universe pageant, she's very much prepared to handle all the pressure that will come her way.
